The Trust that came into existence with like-minded individuals with concern for the
marginalised communities, has evolved to co-opt individuals with multiple domain
knowledge and expertise to help strategically steer the organisation towards its Vision. We
are privileged to have the following individuals on the Trust.
Sumanth Kumar, President
Driven by the belief that giving brings joy to the soul, Mr. Sumanth Kumar’s journey in
serving society began with a profound empathy for the struggles witnessed during
extensive travels nationwide. In 2016, he established JEEVAN MARGA CHARITABLE
TRUST along with like minded friends and family members to address the basic needs of
humanity, focusing on marginalised communities. The Trust aims to uplift the downtrodden,
fostering social and economic change.
Service to society is seen as service to God, aiming not only to provide assistance but to
facilitate prosperity, humanitarian thoughts, and character development.
Khandappa B, Vice President
Khandappa’s conviction stems from childhood experiences. Raised in a humble village, a
profound responsibility toward society took root early on. Witnessing firsthand life struggles
-children lacking education, families facing financial crises—ignited a calling, influencing
him to take action. His journey across the state of Karnataka has helped him witness
diverse stories of resilience, solidifying his commitment to catalyse social change.
The plight of underprivileged children and the pressing need for education became a
driving force. These experiences propelled Khandappa into social work, fostering positive
change. Invited to join the Board of Trustees in 2023, Khandappa is shouldering the
responsibility of Vice President.
Narayan Murthy, Secretary
Mr. Narayan Murthy’s journey of societal service traces back to childhood, where seeds of
compassion were sown to uplift vulnerable women, support the elderly, and address the
needs of the underprivileged. He brings to the Trust, extensive experience in government
civil construction and a longstanding association with BBMP.
He is driven by a sincere desire to serve society since a young age, and his zeal is
reflected in the way he plays the role of Secretary in the Trust.
